Stir Arts

My belief in the power of arts began with the UTSAH project where I saw how arts could transform children’s lives. ┬áIt was clear that the arts can educate and entertain and that creative expression is vital.

Since then along with my studio arts practice I have worked on a number of projects that educate, entertain and invite community participation.

Through Stir Arts, I collaborate with artists, arts organizations and the viewers/audiences to engage with social issues. A current project designed to engage audiences with social issues through the media and arts includes screening good films in schools and community organizations. The films serve as a prompt for discussions about current issues, empathy, compassion, faith traditions and beliefs.
